  • Adverb Clauses Adverb clauses are subordinate clauses that function as adverbs. They can modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Adverb clauses are often introduced by subordinating conjunctions.

  • Punctuation It is important to punctuate conjunctions and adverb clauses correctly. The most common punctuation marks used with conjunctions and adverb clauses are commas, semicolons, and dashes.
